Terms of service

Confirmail ("we", "us") is an online email verification service operated by Confirmail. You can reach us at support@confirmail.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

Confirmail checks whether email addresses can receive mail: syntax, domain and mail servers, mailbox existence, catch-all domains, disposable and role addresses, typos and provider. It also offers an email finder, a sign-up form widget, domain health and blacklist monitoring, CRM integrations, webhooks and an API.

Results are based on the answers of third-party mail servers at the time of the check. Some servers hide whether a mailbox exists, accept every address, or do not answer. We do our best to give an accurate result, but we cannot guarantee that an address marked valid will accept every future message.

• You must give a valid email address and keep your password and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity on your account and your team members.
• You must be at least 18 years old and use the service for business or professional purposes.
• You can delete your account at any time from your settings.

You agree not to use Confirmail to:

• verify addresses you obtained unlawfully, or send unsolicited bulk email (spam) to the addresses you verify;
• break any law, including anti-spam and data-protection laws such as GDPR, CAN-SPAM and CASL;
• attack, overload, scan or reverse-engineer the service, or get around its limits and security;
• resell the service or its results as your own without our written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, without refund of the credits involved.

The service works with credits: one credit is used for one verification. Credits are bought as one-time packs or come with a monthly plan. Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

• Pack credits never expire while your account exists. Plan credits roll over from month to month while your plan is active; when the plan ends, they stay usable for 30 days and then expire. Credits are always spent plan credits first.
• Results marked unknown and addresses with a syntax error are not charged: their credit is returned automatically.
• Monthly plans renew automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase.

Purchased credits are not refunded, and monthly plans are not refunded for the current period. See our refund policy for the details and exceptions.

You keep all rights to the lists you upload. You confirm that you are allowed to process them. We process them only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy, and delete lists automatically 30 days after upload.

We work to keep Confirmail available at all times, but maintenance or incidents can interrupt it. We may change or improve features. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change applies.

The service is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits, lost data or damage to sender reputation, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator is registered.

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim before the courts of that country. Disputes about a payment can also be raised with Paddle, our merchant of record.
